Executive Construction’s Pete Wetzel joined one of the eleven Elim Christian Services relay teams for the August 27th Chicago Super Sprint Triathlon. Athletes raced along the Lake Michigan shoreline with a .23 mile swim, a 6.2 mile bike and finally a 1.5 mile run along the lakefront trail.
Elim Christian Services, headquartered in Palos Heights, IL, provides educational, vocational and therapeutic programming for 900 children and adults with disabilities.
Pete’s team, TEAM CHRISTINA, had Pete swimming, Bob Marsh, Elim VP of Advancement and Outreach, cycling, and Elim client, Christina, bringing it home with the run.
TEAM CHRISTINA raised just over $2,000 for the Elim Hope Packs Program which funds school supply kits for disadvantaged children in Chicago. The Hope Packs are assembled by Elim adult clients.
