In 2018, CNA vacated their longtime headquarters at 333 South Wabash for a new downtown location. Upgraded infrastructure components include new access control and camera-head entry systems to secure the building; and updated telecommunications riser and closets to prepare the building for future tenants and construction of tenant turnover conditions.


After abatement, Executive Construction upgraded the infrastructure and renovated nearly 1.3 million sf over 27 floors to return those floors to tenant-ready condition.


As part of this multi-phased renovation, the lobby was upgraded with new entry vestibules, interconnecting stair, and upgraded security system. The amenity spaces include new conference and training spaces; new tenant lounge; and improvements to the fitness center. A new daycare facility features classrooms; a dedicated elevator and egress stairwell; and an exterior steel terrace with outdoor play area.



Project includes replacement of two curtain wall systems at the East and West sides due to the current condition. As a result of the nature of the project, Executive Construction is building massive exterior temp walls to enclose and make weather-tight for the duration of the project. As this is the main lobby in an occupied building, care is taken to enclose and protect the interior side of the space.
