Safety Standown for Brian Cotter

Safety Standown for Brian Cotter

On Friday, we held a safety standown in memory of Brian Cotter, a well-respected craftsman and cousin of our Senior Superintendent Tom Thies. Last August, Brian passed away in a construction-related incident, and though it wasn’t an Executive Construction project, the tragedy hit home with our team.

During the stand-down across every one of our jobsites, field leaders shared the story with their teams and gave out special hard hat stickers that feature a cotter pin. The cotter pin connects pieces together and symbolizes security because once it’s in place, everything is safer and stronger. Annually, our team will continue to honor Brian and wear these pins as a reminder to put safety first on-site every day.

“Launching” A Fundraiser to Support Share Our Spare

Thanks to our friends in the mission critical space, we raised over $2,500 for Share Our Spare, an organization that provides children in need the basics they need to thrive. Our Foundation ‘Ambassadors of Fun’ braved the heat at Monday’s AFCOM golf outing to join Electrical Energy Experts on the Ball Launch hole to FUN-draise for this non-profit making a difference in our community. Thanks to Golf Invite, Inc., and Launch Specialist Dan, for the support and laughs!

Delivering Joy to a Children’s Hospital

We were humbled to assist a special young lady with a very important delivery. Delaney, a recent cancer survivor herself, started a “passion project” to raise funds for care packages to comfort fellow kids battling cancer at a local children’s hospital. With an initial goal of $250, she raised nearly $32,000 and was able to facilitate the donation and bring joy to so many young kids in need. It just goes to show that with a #bringiton attitude like Delaney’s, nothing’s impossible!
