Last week, our VDC Director, Reed Gallagher, attended the 2nd Annual Reality Capture Network Conference in Boise, Idaho! This three-day event was packed with engaging presentations, panel discussions, and new #technology demonstrations.
The future of laser scanning is advanced together! Reed had a great time reviewing the latest tech and connecting with fellow AEC professionals.
On Friday, Milwaukee School of Engineering Women in Construction students had the opportunity to tour one of our completed #interiors projects—Uber’s Chicago Talent Hub in Chicago’s Old Post Office! A huge shoutout to Project Intern, Tramyqua from MSOE for planning this day to showcase construction projects to these young women in construction!
Our women in construction continue to bring it on every day! Teamforce– including Executive Construction Project Manager Kara Holcomb– built homes today for Chicagoland women thanks to the Habitat for Humanity Women Build Program.
Women Build continues to unite women to build strength, stability, and equality. We’re proud to support their mission and be a part of this impactful day!
Showcasing Trades Careers to the Future Generation
October 6, 2022
Clear, proactive processes lead to successful… future #construction workers! Last night, we had a great time at the Resilient Project UPSTART Trades Fair that showcased trade careers to #Chicagoland high school students. Electricians, carpenters, engineers, and many other trades introduced students to their professions, and potential opportunities!
We’re proud to support Project UPSTART’s mission to provide lucrative career paths in the trades for non-college bound students.
Northern Michigan University’s Women in Construction Day
October 3, 2022
We had a blast at #WomenInConstruction Day hosted by Northern Michigan University Construction Management Program at Technology Center of Dupage! 80 young women from high schools across Chicagoland interacted with professionals in the construction industry and explored hands-on building, urban planning, and virtual demos of trade #careers. We’re grateful to have volunteered for NMU and support their efforts to diversify the building profession.
As we enter a vulnerable time of the year for many throughout Chicago, we’re humbled by the impact our Foundation and team members had on so many community organizations in need. If you’re looking to make a difference, too, please consider supporting these organizations.
We can’t do this without the generosity of our partners that have helped us support nearly 50 organizations so far in 2022! To learn more about our sponsors and the organizations we supported, check out our newsletter below!

Testing New Laser Scanning Equipment in Our Corporate HQ!
September 7, 2023
Great technological innovations are made together, this time in our own office! Our VDC team recently executed a full scan of our corporate headquarters to test out the NavVis VLX scanner.
We’re excited to explore new cutting-edge technologies and equipment to efficiently capture jobsites and continue to transform the AEC industry.
On Friday, we held a safety standown in memory of Brian Cotter, a well-respected craftsman and cousin of our Senior Superintendent Tom Thies. Last August, Brian passed away in a construction-related incident, and though it wasn’t an Executive Construction project, the tragedy hit home with our team.
During the stand-down across every one of our jobsites, field leaders shared the story with their teams and gave out special hard hat stickers that feature a cotter pin. The cotter pin connects pieces together and symbolizes security because once it’s in place, everything is safer and stronger. Annually, our team will continue to honor Brian and wear these pins as a reminder to put safety first on-site every day.
